Regular Meeting

Call To Order: A regular meeting of the Newbern Elementary School PTA was held in Newbern, VA on September 20, 2004. The meeting convened at 6:30p.m. President Marie Clary presiding, Eric Gregory, vice president, Melinda Worrell, treasurer and Melanie Lester, secretary.

Approval of Minutes: The minutes will be posted not read at each meeting.

Officer’s reports:

Treasurer-Melinda Worrell gave the report (copy attached) and the auditors report.

Board and committee reports:

Executive board’s first meeting chose the following committees; finance/budget, fundraising, membership, programs, and bylaws.

Program:

Mr. Nicky Strock with Norfolk Southern Corporation presented the Look, Listen and Live program.

Announcements:

Next meeting is October 18, 2004 at this meeting ballots will be issued to vote on the 2005 proposed legislative program.

Adjournment:

The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
