EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

PCHS Early Childhood

The Pulaski County High School Early Childhood Education Lab is part of the Family & Consumer Science Program.

The childcare program is a learning experience for students and the children. The emphasis of our laboratory is to provide an environment that will promote the optimum development of each child. We provide developmentally appropriate activites that enhance physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth.

Every child is recognized as a unique individual and self-initiative is encouraged. We encourage parent participation and expect continuity of planned experiences. We are flexible and willing to meet the needs of each child. We offer opportunities for the children to be creative, to explore, and to promote problem solving abilities, as well as to develop a positive self-image. The teachers and students want each child to feel comfortable and find the learning experiences to be a basis for growth and development.
