Opening day for the new riverlawn Elementary

Dear Students and Parents/Guardians:

Opening day for the new Riverlawn Elementary School is upon us! We are so excited for you as you become the first students and parents to use the new school!

Please be aware of the following dates and times:

Date	Time	Event
March 19, 2009	--------------	Last day of classes at the old school.
March 19, 2009	1:00 PM	Students will visit new school.
March 20, 2009	--------------	No school for students.
March 20-22, 2009	--------------	Teachers will move to the new school.
March 22, 2009	2:00-4:00 PM	Open House for Students, Parents, and Staff.
March 23, 2009	--------------	First day of classes at the new school.
March 29, 2009	2:00-4:00 PM	Open House for Public

 

 

 

 

 

For the open houses, please refer to the map below. All parents at all times will enter onto the property on Beth Nelson Drive form Viscoe Road (in the future, parents may enter off Route 114 when the road is completed.) Proceed to the end of Beth Nelson Drive, turn left, and park in the parent drop-off area. There are parking places marked on the right side of Beth Nelson Drive and around the parent drop-off circle where you may also park. You may also park in the Bus Drop-Off area for the open houses but not during the regular school day. Please do not park in the Visitor Parking area or the Faculty Parking area, and do not enter the property from Brooklyn Road; however, faculty and staff who have parking decals may enter from Brooklyn.

Enter the school under the long canopy on the west side of the school, turn right, and enter the cafeteria. We will arrange tours for you from the cafeteria.
