Q: Who is eligible to use the Parent Portal?
A: Parents/guardians who have legal rights to view their children's school records may use the Parent Portal.
Q: How do I request a username and password?
A: Parents/guardians who have legal rights to view their children's school records may request a username and password to the system. If you did not receive your username and password at the Open House event please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request that your login information be sent to the school administration office.
Q: Can more than one parent/guardian have access to a child's record?
A: With the Parent Portal system one login per child is distributed to the legal parent/guardian.
Q: How do I add additional children to my current Parent Portal account?
A: Currently, the system only handles one parent login per child. Therefore, if you have more than one child registered in the school system you will need to obtain a user id and password for each child.
SECTION 2: TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE INFORMATION
Q: What do I do if I lose my password?
A: If you lose your password to the Parent Portal you will need to contact the school administration office where your child attends in order to get the account reset. Once the account is reset you will need to visit the school administration office with a valid identification card to obtain the new password.
Q: Can I reach Parent Portal from any computer?
A: Yes. All you need is Internet access to view the Parent Portal website.
Q: What if I do not have a computer in my home?
A: You can use a computer from anywhere with Internet access to view the Parent Portal website. The public library has computers with Internet access available.
SECTION 3: STUDENT INFORMATION
Q: Can anyone else see my child's information?
A: The information about your child is kept private and password protected. You will not be able to see other student's records an other parents will not be able to see your child's records.
Q: How often are assignments & grades for students updated in Parent Portal?
A: The assignments & grades in the teachers' grade books are updated at the discretion of each individual teacher. Grade books are not always updated on a daily basis. Please understand that lengthy projects, test, and written assignments will require more time for grading before teachers can post scores in their grade books.
Q: Who do I contact to make corrections to my child's inforamtion in the Parent Portal?
A: Please call or email your student's school to correct demographic information. Please email your student's teacher to verify assignments & grades.
