Tickle Named October Senior of the Month
Pulaski County High School and Pulaski County Public Schools are pleased to announce our October Senior of the Month Alexis Jayde Tickle. Lexi is the daughter of Christopher and Margie Tickle of Fairlawn.
Lexi is an outstanding student whose perseverance, positivity, and kindness make her shine in every environment she’s part of. From the moment she entered high school, Lexi has worked hard and shown a determination to succeed—no matter the challenge. Despite facing personal trials, she continues to maintain a positive attitude, excellent attendance, and a strong commitment to her goals.
Her peers and teachers alike describe her as kind, genuine, and uplifting. Lexi goes out of her way to brighten the days of those around her—greeting staff with a cheerful smile each morning and wishing them well each afternoon. Her warmth and authenticity have made her a beloved part of the PCHS community, with even classmates mentioning that they seek her out just to share in her positivity.
Academically, Lexi’s determination is truly inspiring. Though she has already met her math requirements, she chose to take Algebra II during her senior year to better prepare herself for college. She diligently attends morning tutoring sessions and navigates her visual impairment with courage and persistence. Lexi also participates in the Virginia Teachers class, where she demonstrates great insight, compassion, and natural communication skills—traits that will serve her well as she pursues her future career.
Balancing her studies with a part-time job at Walmart, Lexi shows remarkable responsibility and drive. She is on track to become the first in her family to attend college, a testament to her ambition and dedication. Upon graduation, Lexi plans to attend Radford University to become a Special Education teacher. Her goal is to return to Pulaski County to teach. In her free time, Lexi enjoys baking and gardening.
