Pulaski County High School and Pulaski County Public Schools are pleased to announce Cheyenne McDougal, granddaughter of Ronnie and Carla Welch of Pulaski, as Senior of the Month for February. Cheyenne was first introduced to the nominator as a sophomore in yearbook class and is currently a student in dual enrollment English. She is an exceptional student who consistently maintains a positive outlook and demonstrates genuine kindness toward others. Cheyenne is one of the few students who regularly checks in on her teachers and responds with sincere interest. She is highly committed to her academic work, provides thoughtful and insightful answers, and actively participates by sharing her ideas with the class.
In addition to her academic success, Cheyenne works at the Starbucks located in Food City and serves as the student representative for the school’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. She also represents students as a member of the Pulaski Town Council. Despite an extremely busy semester, Cheyenne has shown remarkable dedication and time-management skills, successfully balancing her work, leadership roles, and academic responsibilities while continuing to excel. Upon graduation, Cheyenne plans to attend Virginia Tech, where she will major in management.
