PULASKI COUNTY PROUD

March 27, 2024

Dear Cougar School Community:

Today we celebrate, PULASKI COUNTY PROUD! Please know how PROUD I am for all that our students, staff and school community members do to make the Pulaski County School Division one of the most outstanding school systems in the Commonwealth. Please review the following recent achievements that help us highlight our Cougar Pride:

  • PCPS is 1 of 17 K-12 Public School Systems to be selected as a 2024 Virginia Living Top Schools and Universities. Way to go Cougars!

  • A recent state champion and state champion runner up at the VHSL State Class 3 Forensics Championships.

  • A wonderful presentation of James and the Giant Peach Jr. this past Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

  • Outstanding pre-K and Kindergarten registrations at all of our elementary schools. We have more pre-K and Kindergarten registrations than we have had in the past.

  • A very successful Inspiring Pulaski County Women’s Breakfast held in the Cougar Den at PCHS.

  • An amazing orientation for all 5th grade students moving to 6th grade in 24-25 held last night at Pulaski County Middle School.

  • A strong joint effort by our community and school division to provide a valuable and beneficial Opportunities Fair to expose our students to many of the professional opportunities throughout the New River Valley.

These are just a few of our wonderful successes that we see throughout the entire school year during a short two-week time period. There is no doubt in my mind why we are so Pulaski County Proud!
