Cougar Baseball Former Players

The former Cougar baseball players listed on this site moved on to the college level. We are sure we've missed many, and will gladly add new submissions as we are made aware of them.

Kayla Lewis

Jared King (PCHS Class of 2008) played for the Cougars under Head Coach Doug Dunavant. Played his college baseball at the University of Virginia, where he played in 202 career games, which ranks 10th in UVA baseball history. Part of five UVA teams that combined for 245 wins, the most in the nation in that stretch. Returned to PCHS to serve as a teacher and baseball Head Coach before moving. Led the Cougars to impressive performances and showed improvement each season.

Ally Fleenor

Logan Delph (PCHS Class of 2022) played for the Cougars under Head Coach Greg Allen. Delph is playing his college baseball at Cleveland Community College in Shelby, NC. Will be playing in the "Old State North League" in the summer of 2023.

Maddie Ratcliff

Tyler Blevins (PCHS Class of 2015) played for Head Coach Jared King. Blevins went on to play college baseball at Hampden-Sydney College, where he was a standout at first base. He ended his career with a .296 batting average that included 26 doubles, five triples, four home runs, 88 walks, and 76 RBI.

Taryn Blankenship

Caleb Perfater (PCHS Class of 2022) played for the Cougars under Head Coach Greg Allen. Perfater is playing his college baseball at Cleveland Community College in Shelby, NC.

Kayla Lewis

David Hunley (PCHS Class of 2021) played for the Cougars under Head Coach Greg Allen. Hunley is now playing his college ball at Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista, Virginia. As a freshman outfielder, he played in 14 games for the Knights with 2 hits, 2 runs, 2 walks, and four put outs.

Ally Fleenor

Drew Dalton (PCHS Class of 2021) played under Head Coach Jared King and Greg Allen. Dalton is now playing his college baseball at Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, Virginia.

Maddie Ratcliff

Jacob Johnson (PCHS Class of 2022) played under Head Coach Greg Allen. Johnson is now playing his college baseball at Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, Virginia.

Taryn Blankenship

Brayden Morris (PCHS Class of 2013) played under Head Coach Doug Dunavant. Morris played his college baseball for four years at Brevard College in Brevard, North Carolina. Over his four years he finished with a .296 batting average, steadily improving it until his senior season when he was at .340. In 135 games her earned 115 hits, 51 runs, 14 doubles, one homerun, 42 walks, 56 RBI, and 4 stolen bases.

Kayla Lewis

Steve Tickle (PCHS Class of 1983) played baseball for the Cougars under Head Coach Wally Flinchum. He later took his skills to Radford University, as a part of their first year of baseball.
