Pulaski Elementary School has selected Mrs. Belinda Worrell as their 2022-23 Employee of the Year.

Mrs. Worrell has worked for Pulaski County Public Schools for over 15 years as a part of the custodial staff. She is a lifelong resident, born and raised in Pulaski County, and a graduate of Pulaski County High School.

“Mrs. Worrell is always the first one here each morning,” Pulaski Elementary Principal Mike Price said. “She is probably the most dependable person I have ever met, and her work ethic is impressive.”

The form nominating Mrs. Worrell for the award echoed the comments from Mr. Price.

“Mrs. Worrell is always the first one at the school. Her work ethic is flawless, and she is always busy. She is always available when called upon, and never complains. Everyone in the building has expressed how important she is to the everyday functioning of Pulaski Elementary. She likes to sneak little goodies in teacher mailboxes throughout the year, and never has a negative thing to say about anyone. She pays attention to every detail, and usually goes above and beyond what is expected of her.”

“I enjoy seeing the students at my current school each year as they continue to grow,” Mrs. Worrell said. “I spend my time making sure the school is kept as clean as possible for the students and staff each day. This was the biggest challenge we all faced working through the pandemic.”

Mrs. Worrell and her husband, Buck, have two daughters, Samantha and Amanda. She enjoys spending her free time with family and her two granddaughters.
