Pulaski County Middle School has selected Ms. Charity Warden as their 2022-23 Employee of the Year.
Ms. Warden has worked for PCPS for six years. She began as a SPED Paraprofessional at the former Dublin Middle School, serving in that role for two years. With the announcement of the construction of the new middle school, Ms. Warden working as an office assistant, going back and forth between both the former Pulaski Middle School and Dublin Middle School until the new unified middle school began operations.
As a 2003 graduate of Pulaski County High School, Ms. Warden has lived in the Hiwassee area of Pulaski County since she was two years old.
“Ms. Warden serves as the Office Assistant in the main office at the middle school,” her nomination form states. “She has worked for Pulaski County Public Schools for the past six years. She has held the role of Paraprofessional and Guidance Office Assistant. When asked what she likes most about working for Pulaski County Public Schools she shared that she likes working with the staff and loves interacting with students. In the front office she wears many hats and supports the work of others in the office and around the school. In addition to managing the front office, she also volunteers on the PTO and the Social Committee. She goes out of her way to make everyone feel supported and appreciated by doing special projects such as providing a candy bar, taco bar and more, just for staff.”
One of her nominators shared, “Charity deserves to be the Employee of the Year because she always goes over and beyond for us all. She organizes all of the teacher appreciation days, and always goes out of her way to make us feel appreciated!”
One student shared that “she is a sweet, nice, and funny person.”
“I enjoy everything about my job,” Ms. Warden said. “From helping students with their everyday needs to working with the faculty and staff to ensure they have everything they need. It’s all very rewarding.”
In her free time, Ms. Warden enjoys cheering on her four children … Eli, 20, Olivia, 18, Jeremiah, 16, and Avrielle, 10 … in their extracurricular activities. She also enjoys spending time with her “significant other,” JV Cougar basketball coach Rajai Hines.
