Three Lady Cougars and two Cougars were listed on the All-River Ridge District and All-Region 3D Basketball teams, officially released Friday morning.
Senior Hannah Keefer was selected for the first-team All-District and All-Region squads. Senior Jaden Lawson was selected as a member of the second-team unit for All-District and was an honorable mention on the All-Region team. Senior Andi Ratcliff was listed as an honorable mention on the All-District squad.
For the Cougars senior Lane Nester was selected as a member of the All-District first team and All-Region second unit. Nester would have likely ended up higher in the All-Region selections, but an injury forced him to miss the final games of the seasons. Junior Isaiah O’Dell was selected as an honorable mention on the All-District squad.
The River Ridge District Player of the Year for the men is Kam Tinsley of Cave Spring. The RRD Coach of the Year for the Men is Jack Esworthy of Patrick Henry. The River Ridge District Player of the Year for the women is Jada Cook of Patrick Henry. The men’s Coach of the Year is Eugene Cook of Patrick Henry.
The Region 3D players and coaches of the year were not listed.
