Cougars Gear Up for Adidas Nationals in Indoor Track & Field

As the Indoor Track & Field season nears its end, two standout athletes from the Cougars program are set to compete on the national stage. Sophomore Anius Slaughter and freshman Brayden Snell will take on the nation’s best at the Adidas Nationals on Saturday, March 22, in Virginia Beach.
Slaughter has been a force in the shot put, placing 8th in the Class 3 State Indoor Track & Field Championship with a throw of 47', 4.5", securing his spot at nationals. With his season gaining momentum, Slaughter is primed for another strong performance.
Snell, a multi-sport athlete balancing basketball and track, has showcased his athleticism in the long jump. His impressive leap of 18', 6.5" earned him a national qualification, proving his potential in the sport.
With both athletes competing at a high level early in their high school careers, the future looks bright for the Cougars. This weekend, they’ll have the opportunity to shine against elite competition and set the stage for even greater success in the seasons to come.
