
Four Pulaski County High School football players were among those listed as members of the 2025 All-River Ridge District football team, which was released early Thursday morning.
The All-District offensive unit included senior Sammy Carrasco. He was listed as the first-team all purpose player. Carrasco ended the season with 80 rushing attempts for 565 yards, a 7.1 yard per carry average. He also caught 17 passes for 73 yards. He scored seven touchdowns and successfully kicked one extra point attempt for 43 total points. Defensively he also recorded an interception for the Cougars.

Senior Bryant Nottingham was listed as the first team punter, where he recorded 31 punts for a 43.65 yard per punt average. Nottingham was also selected as the second team quarterback for the district. This season he ran the ball 66 times for 319 yards, an average of 4.83 yards per carry. He completed 40 of 81 pass attempts with three interceptions for 478 yards. Defensively, he also recorded an interception and a fumble recovery.
Junior Maddox Thompson was listed as a second team running back. He ended the season with a team high 142 carries for 967 yards, a 6.8 yard per carry average. Thompson also led the Cougars in scoring with 18 touchdowns. He also recorded an interception on defense.
Junior Parker Price was selected as an honorable mention linebacker on the defensive unit. Price recorded an interception, which he returned for a touchdown, and four fumble recoveries.
Senior linebacker Carter Wilson was the final Cougar player listed, as he was listed as an honorable mention at linebacker. Defensively he recorded one interception. On offense, he ran the ball 49 times for 258 yards, a 5.26 yard per carry average. He caught nine passes for 126 yards, and scored four touchdowns.
The Defensive Player of the Year is senior defensive lineman Ra’ Quem Poindexter of Patrick Henry High School. The Offensive Player of the Year is senior wide receiver Cam Hairston-Taylor of Patrick Henry High School. The Coach of the Year is Coach Alan Fiddler of Patrick Henry.
