Anius Slaughter had an outstanding performance at the State Meet yesterday, earning All-State honors with a huge personal best throw.
Entering the meet ranked ninth and projected not to score, Anius stepped up when it mattered most. His previous season best of 45'7.75", set back on December 6, was surpassed with an impressive throw of 46'8" — nearly a full foot improvement.
His performance secured him All-State recognition and capped off a tremendous effort on the big stage.
