Hard work pays off, and once again a group at Pulaski County High School is benefiting from that.
The PCHS Pep Band has been asked, by Radford University, to serve as the pep band for the Radford University Women's Basketball team as they play in the first round of the NIT Tournament on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 7 p.m.
“This is a huge honor for the Pulaski County Band Program and we are extremely excited to represent the school through this performance,” PCHS Band Director Kevin Faller said.
The band has served as the pep band for the Highlanders on several occasions during the past few years, bringing excitement and energy to the crowd.
This is the first time Radford University is hosting the NIT Tournament. The Highlanders will be hosting the Morehead State Eagles. A large pregame tailgate is set to begin at 6 p.m. in the courtside lounge.
This is the seventh time in program history that the RU Women’s team has been to the NIT. It is the first time the program has hosted an NIT game. The Highlanders come into the matchup with an overall record of 22-12 and a conference record of 12-4. Morehead State enters the NIT with a record of 18-14 and a conference record of 13-7. The two teams did not play during the regular season.
