The Pulaski County Middle School volleyball team put together an almost perfect serving performance Wednesday to knock off Floyd 25-10, 25-11 to raise its record to 5-0 on the season. The middle school match preceded the JV and varsity contests between Floyd and Pulaski County.

 

The Cougar spikers didn’t miss a single serve in the opening contest, led by Ainsley Vaughan going 10-for-10. Bailey Viars was 6-for-6, and Jagger Davis and Ryleigh Dean were both 4-for-4. Viars had one hit and Dean one assist, two tips and was the top passer.

In the second game, Dean was 9-for-9 from behind the service line, while Jayden Brown was 8-for-8. Vaughan was 4-for-4 and Davis 3-for-3 for the Cougars.

 

Vaughan and Dean combined forces for six assists and two tips. Davis and Vaughan were the top passers in the second contest.

 

The PCMS Cougars will travel to Christiansburg Tuesday for their next match. Game time is 4:30.
