The Pulaski Middle School Volleyball Team opened the 2025 season with a battle against Andrew Lewis of Salem. The Cougars lost the first set 24-16, but fought back to take the second one, 25-18, and won the tiebreaker, 15-12.
Comley Meyer led the Cougars from behind the service line in the opening set, going 7-for-7. Lainie Cobbs was 4-for-4, Jovi Perdue 4-for-5, and Riley Shepardson and Kiylee Taylor were both 4-for-4. Meyer and Shepardson each collected three hits, while Chloe Thompson and Taylor each added one. Perdue and Cobbs combined for seven assists. The top passer was Perdue.
In the second set, Perdue and Cobbs were both 6-for-6 from the service line, Thompson was 5-for-5, and Shepardson 4-for-4. Meyer connected on five hits, Shepardson added four, and Taylor one. Perdue and Cobbs teamed for nine assists and five tips. Top passers were Perdue and Raegan Dean.
In the deciding set, Cobbs posted a 6-for-6 performance from the service line, Perdue was 3-for-3, and Meyer and Shepardson were both 2-for-2. Shepardson had three hits and Meyer two. Perdue and Cobbs teamed for five assists and four tips. Meyer and Shepardson were the top passers.
In the B game, Zaley Manns led PCMS from behind the service line, going 6-for-6, and Maria Sanchez and McKenzie Robinson were both 5-for-5. The Cougars won this game, 25-11.
