It was a good evening for the Pulaski County Middle School volleyball team as the Cougar spikers knocked off Carroll County 25-8, 25-12 to raise its record to 7-3 on the season.

In the opening set, the Cougars missed just one serve. Jovi Perdue led the way with a perfect 14-for-14 performance. Lainie Cobbs was 7-for-7 and Abby Bishop 3-for-3. Comley Meyer led the Cougars’ offensive attack with two hits. Kiylee Taylor and Bishop each added one. Cobbs finished with three assists. Perdue, Meyer, and Vivian Hash were the top passers in a game that saw the Cougars jump out to an early 13-0 lead and never look back.

Taylor and Cobbs led the Cougars from behind the service line in the second contest, both going 6-for-6. Addie Phillips recorded five hits, Cobbs chipped in three, Riley Shepardson added two, and Chloe Thompson one. Hash and Cobbs combined for three assists. Perdue and Sophia Exconde were the top passers.

PCMS took the B game, 25-18. Zaley Manns finished 9-for-9 from behind the service line for the Cougars. Phillips was 3-for-4, and McKenzie Robinson 2-for-2. Robinson collected three hits, while Phillips and Exconde each had one. Phillips and Axton Davis teamed for four assists. Manns, Davis, and Maria Sanchez were the top passers.
