The Pulaski Middle School volleyball team notched its 9th win of the season on Monday as the Cougar spikers knocked off Scott Memorial on the road.

It was not pretty, but the Cougars managed a 22-25, 25-20, 15-10 victory. In the opening set, the Cougars struggled from the service line. In what is normally one of their strengths, the Cougars missed seven serves. Lainie Cobbs led the way with a 5-for-5 performance. Jovi Perdue was 5-for-7, Riley Shepardson 4-for-5, and Comley Meyer 2-for-2. Shepardson led the Cougars’ offensive attack with three hits. Perdue and Meyer each chipped in two, and Vivian Hash one. Hash and Cobbs combined for five assists and three tips. Shepardson was the top passer.

Things looked a little better for the Cougars in the second contest. The team missed just three serves. Chloe Thompson was 8-for-8 from the service line, Cobbs was 6-for-7,

Shepardson and Perdue were both 3-for-3. Shepardson again led the Cougars’ offense with seven hits. Perdue added two, and Meyer and Thompson each notched one. Cobbs and Hash teamed for 11 assists and three tips. Shepardson and Meyer were the top passers.

In the deciding set, Cobbs led the Cougars from the service line, going 7-for-7, Perdue and Meyer were both 3-for-3, and Thompson 2-for-2 as the Cougars were perfect from behind the line. Shepardson notched two hits, while Perdue, Meyer and Thompson each had one. Cobbs and Hash combined for four assists and four tips. The top passers were Thompson and Meyer.

The Cougars claimed the B game, 25-9. Top servers were Kara Tabor with a 7-for-8 performance, while Zaley Manns was 5-for-5, Axton Davis 4-for-4, and Addie Phillips 2-for-4. Tabor and Manns each had one hit and Phillps and Davis each had one assist.
