PULASKI—The Pulaski County Middle School posted a 25-7, 25-10 victory over Scott Memorial this past week, to push its record to 6-0 in volleyball action.
The Cougar spikers didn’t miss a single serve in the opening contest. Comley Meyer and Axton Davis were both 6-for-6, while Laine Cobbs was 4-fo-4, Riley Shepardson and Abby Bishop were both 3-for-3, and Zaley Manns and Maria Correa were both 1-for-1. The Cougars managed just six hits, and Addie Phillips and Cobbs teamed for four assists. Cobbs and Meyer were the top passers.
In the second contest, the Cougars missed three serves. Leading the way from behind the service line was Correa, going 7-for-8. Cobbs and Abby Bishop were both 4-for-4, Phillips 3-for-4 and Manns 2-for-2. The Cougars collected four hits, while Shepardson, Manns, Phillips, and McKenzie Robinson each with one. Cobbs and Phillips teamed for three assists. Correa was the top passer.
In the extra game, the Cougars won 25-10. Davis was 6-for-7 from the service line. Raegan Dean was 5-for-5, Robinson 4-for-5, Ava Cash 2-for-3, Quinn Austin 1-for-1, and Ava Thompson 1-for-3. Thompson had one assists and Austin had one hit. Top passer was Laila Sigmon.
